Lula Pilar is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Nyack, NY. She's been writing music since she could put words together, and is steadfast in her commitment to storytelling through song. She just moved to Brooklyn after graduating from Yale this May, where her music ranged from loud house shows with her pop band, Aces Bridge Club, to more intimate performances, as featured in "Tiny Dorms," a Yale-ified version of NPR's "Tiny Desk," and a solo show on WYBC Yale Radio.
From the keys to the guitar, her acoustic sound is the result of indie pop and jazz influences that leave listeners immersed in winding melodies, nature metaphors, and all things bittersweet.
