Her musical/artistic liaisons include collaborating with notable, local and accomplished musicians such as: Steve Jankowski, Marc Ribler, Jeff Levine, Turnpike Mike, Gary Oleyar, Buddy Cage, Mike MIZ, Big John Perry, Mark "Slick" Aguilar, Butchy Sochorow, Sandy Mack, Ronnie Penque, Dan Tepper, Waynard Scheller, Chris Giunco and Jersey Shore favorite bands including the Sean Watson Band & Pat Roddy Band . Her original track "Cold in Nebraska" was a winner in the 2011 Garden State Film Festival's 'Original Movie Music' Category. In 2014, Karen was nominated in 2 categories for the Asbury Music Awards (Top Americana Act & Song of the Year : "Cold in Nebraska"). In 2015, Karen was once again nominated in 2 categories for the Asbury Park Music Awards ( Best female Vocalist & Top Americana).
